Chill Street is a proudly Atlantic Canadian craft beverage company led by Nancy Hartnett. A fearless local entrepreneur with deep experience in retail and distribution, Nancy believes drinks should bring people together and fit naturally into real life. Under her leadership, the brand continues to evolve while staying rooted in flavour, balance, and connection. At its core, Chill Street is about enjoying the moment and feeling good about it.
Observing Changed Everything
Chill Street began in 2017 inside the first craft brewery located in a Sobeys supermarket in North America, in Elmsdale, Nova Scotia. Customers could roll their grocery carts directly into a working brewery while shopping. Originally producing craft beer and cider, the team quickly noticed that not everyone walking through the doors was drinking alcohol. That insight led to crafting sodas made with quality ingredients like cane sugar and natural concentrates, refined with honest feedback from store staff and customers.

When COVID reshaped the retail landscape, Chill Street faced the same challenges as many local businesses. Nancy stepped forward to carry the brand into its next chapter, strengthening retail partnerships and refining recipes to meet evolving tastes. With a focus on innovation and community, the brand expanded its non-alcoholic offerings and strengthened its presence across Atlantic Canada. Today, Chill Street continues to grow as a local company rooted in resilience, connection, and creating beverages people genuinely enjoy.
